Committed to a cleaner future
Protecting the environment is a cornerstone of Lamprell’s sustainability strategy. We are focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy efficiency, and managing resources responsibly. In 2023, we achieved a 39% reduction in energy consumption compared to our 2015 baseline and diverted 95% of our waste from landfill. We show our commitment to protecting ecosystems through initiatives such as our annual clean coastline event, mangrove tree planting programme, water conservation efforts, and waste management practices. By integrating renewable energy and circular economy principles, we ensure sustainability is embedded in our operations.

Energy and emissions
We are aware of the urgency to reduce global emissions and are committed to improving energy efficiency within our facilities. As part of our Net Zero Commitment, our approach will be to reduce emissions through efficiency, transform our processes through decarbonization and influence our value chain. We will reduce gross and intensity GHG emissions, replace fossil fuel where possible with renewable energy sources and redefine our relationship with suppliers through constructive engagement on low carbon solutions across the value chain.
Our gross GHG emissions reduced by 43% in 2022 compared to 2021 while GHG emissions intensity reduced by 5% in the same period.
Electricity consumption intensity has reduced by 22% over the last 5 years as we initiate further initiatives to reduce our energy consumption in line with our net zero commitment by 2050.
