Lamprell Saudi Arabia (LKSA)
Our Saudi Arabia office supports Lamprell’s broader strategic ambition to continue expanding our capabilities and partnerships in the region. Saudi Arabia plays a central role in our long-term growth plans, and we have made significant strides towards building a strong and lasting foundation in the country.
Our achievements include the formation of a joint venture at the world-class IMI yard and a long-standing collaboration with Saudi Aramco through their Offshore Long-Term Agreement (LTA) programme. Lamprell has been a trusted LTA partner since 2018, and in 2025 we were proud to renew this agreement at a formal signing ceremony held at Aramco’s offices in Dhahran.
Through LKSA, and in collaboration with our local partners, we are committed to supporting the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) objectives set by Aramco, while also contributing to the broader goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by localising industry, creating employment opportunities, and driving economic growth. We are also working towards establishing a dedicated yard facility in the Kingdom to further support local project delivery and future growth.
Beyond business activities, the Lamprell Saudi Arabia team is proudly involved in community engagement initiatives across the Kingdom. These include environmental efforts such as mangrove tree planting and beach clean-ups, as well as cultural and charitable initiatives, including Saudi Founding Day celebrations and Ramadan gift distributions.

International Maritime Industries (IMI)
Lamprell is a proud founding partner of International Maritime Industries (IMI), a world-class maritime and offshore facility located at the King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. Established through a joint venture with Saudi Aramco, Bahri and Hyundai Heavy Industries, IMI is central to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions to strengthen local industry and diversify the economy.
As a technical partner for Zones A and D, Lamprell plays a key role in delivering maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and constructing new build jack-up drilling rigs. Our collaboration with IMI has already delivered two jack-up rigs to ARO Drilling, and we are currently working on a third, with more projects in the pipeline. We remain committed to providing engineering support for new rig designs, strengthening local capability and contributing to the Kingdom’s long-term energy goals.

Through the IMI venture, we also invest in developing Saudi talent. Apprenticeship programmes, knowledge-sharing initiatives and close collaboration between IMI and Lamprell teams are helping to create a highly skilled local workforce for the future.
