Lamprell’s Hamriyah yard in the UAE is bustling with activity, serving as a crucial hub for the construction of various EPCI structures for the oil & gas sector. This facility is at the heart of our operations, where we diligently fabricate jackets, production decks, and other key components for numerous high-profile projects in the Middle East region.
First project: progress on decks and jackets
In our first ongoing EPCI project, which consists of two production decks and two jackets, we have successfully completed the fabrication of the first jacket, which has been transported to KSA and is slated for installation in 2024. The second jacket and production decks are progressing through various engineering and construction stages, with their installation scheduled for 2025.
Second project: jacket fabrication nears completion
The second project, which includes a single jacket, is well into the fabrication phase. We anticipate completing this phase in 2024, with installation expected by year-end.
Third project: four jackets ready, deck underway
For our third project, involving one production deck and four jackets, the fabrication of all four jackets has been completed. Installation activities are set to begin later this year. Meanwhile, the production deck is currently being fabricated and is on track for completion in 2025.
Fourth project: significant milestones achieved
The fourth project, which consists of five jackets, reached a significant milestone, with two jackets sailing away in September. This achievement underscores Lamprell’s capability in handling large structures, as each jacket weighs up to 2,700 tonnes. Furthermore, this project recently achieved over 3.5 million man-hours without a recordable incident, demonstrating our team’s dedication to safety and excellence. The remaining three jackets continue to undergo fabrication work.
Fifth project: engineering and fabrication advancements
Our fifth project, comprising two production decks and one jacket, is making excellent headway. Significant progress has been made in the engineering and procurement phases, and the fabrication development has begun. In August, we celebrated a key milestone with a first steel cut ceremony alongside the client team, marking the continued smooth progression of this project.
