Throughout the final quarter of 2024, Lamprell pursued several initiatives to enhance environmental awareness and involve employees, their families and clients in sustainable practices.
The quarter began with a sustainability awareness session aimed at administrative employees, focusing on the UAE’s new climate change law and Lamprell’s goals for achieving net zero by 2050. This session highlighted how individual efforts can contribute to broader environmental goals and emphasised each employee’s role in environmental stewardship.
Lamprell also conducted an awareness session for yard supervision and employees. This event educated operational staff on sustainable practices, ensuring that the frontline of Lamprell’s operations is informed and engaged in the company’s environmental initiatives.
A significant initiative was the launch of the clothes recycling initiative in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with TADOM and Aramco. This programme involved placing recycling bins in high-traffic areas to collect used garments, supporting community access to quality clothing and reducing waste. The initiative began with a well-attended event in Khobar.
In Q4, Lamprell hosted members from the Energy Industries Council (EIC) to present our sustainability strategy, showcasing our programmes and initiatives aimed at achieving our net zero emissions target and reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable future. This engagement not only enhances Lamprell’s industry credibility but also opens doors to new collaborations and business opportunities in an increasingly environmentally conscious market.
The quarter concluded with a beach clean-up, actively supported by Lamprell’s staff and their families, alongside clients, highlighting our community’s commitment to environmental conservation.
These initiatives collectively enhanced sustainability awareness and integrated sustainable practices into Lamprell’s daily operations, marking a quarter of meaningful engagement and progress towards our sustainability objectives.
