Lamprell is excited to announce the launch of its Sustainability Champions Initiative, aimed at deepening the integration of ESG principles into our operations. By involving employees from various departments, this initiative leverages the diverse insights and expertise of our employees to advance our sustainability strategy.
The initiative centers on three key areas: Environmental Stewardship, Social Responsibility, and Governance & Ethics. Our Champions are dedicated to promoting eco-friendly initiatives, improving energy efficiency, and reducing waste. They also advocate for workplace well-being and inclusion, driving community-led sustainability efforts while ensuring compliance, transparency, and ethical governance practices.
At a recent Sustainability Committee meeting, attended by our CEO and other Executive Committee members, we discussed the various initiatives we are working on to advance sustainable practices. For example, we have begun transitioning to solar power in parts of our Hamriyah yard, a development that will be detailed in the next edition of Lamprelltimes. Our leadership team’s engagement demonstrates their commitment to sustainability, which is crucial as we work towards our goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Other ESG related initiatives in Q1 include our beach cleanup and CSR event in Saudi Arabia. As we continue our journey, we remain committed to building a sustainable legacy that positively impacts our operations, the industry, and the broader community.
