Lamprell proudly opened its new project execution and business support office in Chennai, marking a significant expansion of our global capabilities. This strategic move enhances our presence in a city recognised worldwide for its pool of technical expertise in the energy sector.
The inauguration, attended by Lamprell’s Chairman Dr. Ghazi Osman, CEO Ian Prescott, VP of Business Development Brian Mclaughlin, and Operations Director at Algihaz Energy Jonathan Kennefick, highlighted the importance of Chennai as a key hub for Lamprell. Led by Lamprell’s Director of Engineering, Kannan Iyer, the office is set to bolster our engineering, project execution, and business operations capabilities.
Chennai’s vibrant energy sector provides access to a wealth of highly skilled professionals, strengthening our ability to deliver complex projects in both the onshore and offshore oil & gas and offshore wind sectors. The team in Chennai will support Lamprell’s core functions, such as engineering design, project management and controls, supply chain management, proposals and estimation, IT, and quality assurance.
This move is designed to enhance our operational efficiency and optimise project delivery, ensuring that Lamprell continues to meet the evolving demands of the global energy industry.
